Our Favorite Fan Art from Neal Shusterman’s Arc of a Scythe Series

Scythe and Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman introduce us to a world entirely different from the one we know.  A chilling world without hunger, disease, war, or misery, but seeping with death and the conflicting morality that comes with being “in charge” of taking the lives of those around you, for the “greater good,” of the community.

When I am thrown into an exciting new world like the world in the Scythe and Thunderhead, I love looking at fan art to immerse myself in the fictional world, and truly feel as if I know this strange and exhilarating world. Now that The Toll is officially out, I’ve found myself looking at more and more fan art from this epic trilogy. Check out a few of my favorite fan art images below from some extremely talented fans on Instagram!

Such a fun, powerful read. Shusterman’s new novel is set in a world in which death has been cured. Humans are immortal, cannot be killed by diseases, and can be revived from virtually any accident. The population, however, is still growing at unsustainable rate. To slow it, the Scythedom was created. Scythes, at once feared and revered, avoided and sought, have one job: to meet their quota for deaths per month. They must ensure that the population does not grow too large. But the Scythedom is not as united as it seems, and in-fighting is brought to the surface when one prominent Scythe decides to take on an unprecedented two apprentices, forcing them to compete for the position. Filled with intrigue, death, life, and love, the two apprentices must navigate this new world without knowing the agendas of the Scythes around them or of the mysterious Thunderhead, the collective consciousness created when all human information was uploaded, and responsible for monitoring all aspects of life besides the Scythes themselves…In a world where death no longer exists @nealshusterman forces us to consider what truly matters. #bookstagram #shsbookstagram #shsreads #staplesreads #booklove #dystopia #scythe #arcofascythe #scythedom #anelegyofscythes #YA #death #fantasy #thecloud #teachersofinstagram #teachersfollowteachers #teachergram

. ⛏ Siega de Neal Shusterman. La mejor lectura del año. 5/5 ⭐️. De verdad este libro es IMPRESCINDIBLE, no diré más. En un mundo donde ya no hay enfermedades, hay sobrepoblacion, por lo que el gobierno instaura la Siega, un grupo de segadores que controlan la muerte y matan a discreción. . . . ⛏ Scythe, by Neal Shusterman. The best book of this year so far. 5/5 ⭐️. This book is truly INDISPENSABLE, and I’ll say no more! In a world with no deseases, there’s too many people. Because of that, the government set a group called Scythe that controls death and kills. . . . . #scythe #siega #drawing #artist #watercolor #art #illustration #ilustracion #acuarela . #nealshusterman #bookstagram #bookgeek #bookstagramespaña #bookstagrammers #lectura #kindlepaperwhite #anastasia
