4. MasterChef Junior: Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare

If you’ve ever watched MasterChef Junior then you know these kids are no ordinary kids. They’re elite chefs in their kitchens and mostly before reaching puberty. And in Better Than the Movies, a romcom about the magic of romcoms, Wes Bennet will steal your heart as the ultimate annoying but somehow irresistible boy next door.

8. Cupcake Wars: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

What Your Fave Version of Miley Says You Should Read Next

Miley Stewart – Permanent Record by Mary H. K. Choi

Miley Cyrus’s first major role was her dual starring role as Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana in the television show Hannah Montana. Miley Stewart loved performing and being a famous singer, but desperately wanted to keep her “normal” life with her friends and family…enter Hannah Montana her pop star alter ego who provided the opportunity for both fame and anonymity.

Leanna Smart would have loved a Hannah Montana of her own to hold the spotlight while she’s free to be a normal, non-famous teenager. Leanna and Pablo meet at 5:00 a.m. at the bodega in the dead of winter. It’s absurd to think they’d be A Thing: she’s one of the most famous people in the world and he’s a bodega clerk college dropout. But as they discover who they are, who they want to be, and how to defy the deafening expectations of everyone else, Lee and Pab turn to each other. Which, of course, is when things get properly complicated.

Backyard Sessions Miley – Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett

After a few film roles, Miley released a series of YouTube videos where she sang some of her favorite songs in her backyard with her band appropriately named The Backyard Sessions. Miley’s Backyard Sessions videos are stripped of any visual or audio effects with Miley’s voice shining strong as she returns to her country roots.

Zorie, unfortunately, returns to nature and finds herself stranded while camping with her former best friend/ex-boyfriend turned enemy, Lennon.

But as they travel deeper into Northern California’s rugged backcountry, secrets and hidden feelings surface. Will their rekindled connection survive out in the real world? Or was it just a result of the fresh forest air and the magic of the twinkling stars?

Breakout Miley – Start Here by Trish Doller

Once her TV show, Hannah Montana, ended Miley released her second studio album: Breakout. With jams like “Breakout”, “7 Things”, and “See You Again” it was the perfect music for getting ready for an epic weekend with your closest buds.

Forget an epic weekend. Willa and Taylor were supposed to spend the summer after high school graduation sailing from Ohio to Key West with their best friend, Finley. But Finley died before graduation, leaving them with a twenty-five-foot sailboat, a list of clues leading them to destinations along the way, and a friendship that’s hanging by a thread. Now, Willa and Taylor have two months and two thousand miles to discover how life works without Finley—and to decide if their own friendship is worth saving.

The Last Song Miley – Love From A to Z by S. K. Ali

In The Last Song Miley played Ronnie, a rebellious teen sent to spend the summer with her estranged father in a beach town. There she catches the eye of golden-hearted Will and the two of them bond over saving sea turtles.

When she gets suspended for confronting her teacher, and he begins investigating her activist friends, Zayneb is sent to her aunt’s house in Doha, Qatar, for an early start to spring break.

Since he got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in November, Adam’s stopped going to classes, intent, instead, on perfecting the making of things. Intent on keeping the memory of his mom alive for his little sister while keeping his diagnosis a secret from his grieving father.

Alone, Adam and Zayneb are playing roles for others, keeping their real thoughts locked away in their journals. Until they meet and find someone willing to know their real, true selves.

Black Mirror’s Ashley O./Ashley Too Miley –Rabbit & Robot by Andrew Smith

Rabbit & Robot by Andrew Smith

Miley took on another musical persona in Netflix’s Black Mirror episode. If you loved her Ashley O. fighting against technology, but also kind of wished you had an Ashley Too at your bedside to be your personal AI friend, you need to check out Andrew Smith’s Rabbit and Robot.

Rabbit & Robot tells the story of Cager Messer, a boy who’s stranded on the Tennessee—his father’s lunar-cruise utopia—with insane robots.

Cager has been transported to the Tennessee, a giant lunar-cruise ship orbiting the moon that his dad owns, by Billy and Rowan to help him shake his Woz addiction. Meanwhile, Earth, in the midst of thirty simultaneous wars, burns to ash beneath them. And as the robots on board become increasingly insane and cannibalistic, and the Earth becomes a toxic wasteland, the boys have to wonder if they’ll be stranded alone in space forever.
