Must-Read Books That Went Sale in November 2020!

1. These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong

Do you love retellings? Even if you don’t you should read this book. Set in 1920s Shanghai, Juliette Cai, heir to the Scarlet gang needs to team up with her once lover—now enemy—to stop the mysterious murders plaguing their city. This book is the perfect atmospheric read for winter!

2. A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow by Laura Taylor Namey

Lila Reyes never planned on spending her summer in England but when her life seems to be falling apart, her parents have the perfect plan. Go live with their friends in Winchester, England to relax and reset. But with the lack of sun, a grumpy inn cook, and a small town lacking Miami flavor (both in food and otherwise), what would be a dream trip for some feels more like a nightmare to Lila…until she meets Orion Maxwell. Soon a new future is beginning to form in Lila’s mind—one that would mean leaving everything she ever planned behind.

3. Rent a Boyfriend by Gloria Chao

Rent a Boyfriend has perfected the fake dating trope and, let me tell you, this book is amazing! Chloe hires a fake boyfriend to appease her traditional Taiwanese parents. She doesn’t expect to fall in love with him for real, the only problem: Drew is nothing like the perfect boyfriend persona she hired him to be.

4. Lies Like Poison by Chelsea Pitcher

Riverdale meets Kara Thomas’s The Cheerleaders in this electrifying, twisted thriller about estranged friends who reunite when someone commits the murder they’d planned—but didn’t go through with—and leaves one of their own to take the fall. If you love fairy tale retellings, this book is for you!

5. Love & Olives by Jenna Evans Welch

It’s cold out, so why not escape to beautiful Santorini, Greece in this adorable romance! Liv isn’t super close with her father, so she’s a little surprised when he invites her to live with him in Greece. But when she arrives to gorgeous Santorini, things are a little…awkward. There are so many questions, so many emotions that flood to the surface after seeing her father for the first time in years. And yet Liv doesn’t want their past to get in the way of a possible reconciliation. She also definitely doesn’t want Theo—her father’s charismatic so-called “protégé”—to witness her struggle.

6. Chasing Lucky by Jenn Bennett

In this coming-of-age romance perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Sarah Dessen, scandal and romance collide when an ambitious teen returns to her hometown only to have her plans interrupted after falling for the town’s “bad boy”—a.k.a. her childhood best friend.

7. Those Who Prey by Jennifer Moffett

Looking for an atmospheric read? This cultish thriller should definitely be on your list! In this riveting debut psychological thriller about a lonely college freshman seduced into joining a cult—and her desperate attempt to escape before it’s too late.

8. When You Were Mine by Rebecca Serle

Imagine that you finally kissed your childhood crush, only to find out that he’s fallen into all-consuming and destructive relationship the very next day. If you can picture that, then you can understand how Rosaline feels in this Romeo & Juliet retelling. We all know how the story of Romeo & Juliet ends, but you’ve never heard it told from a perspective like this—narrated by the girl Romeo was supposed to love.
