1. RESPECT by Carole Boston Weatherford, illustrated by Frank Morrison: On sale 8/25

This stunning book about Aretha Franklin tells the story of her early days as in her father’s Detroit church through the journey of her string of hits that lead her to the title of “The Queen of Soul”. Aretha used her voice not only to make beautiful music, she raised it to speak out against injustice and to fight for civil rights.
