Wow. It feels like January has gone on for ages but it’s finally coming to a close. 2020 started strong with some really amazing books that will help you get a head start on your Goodreads goal for this year.

Must-Read Books that Went On Sale in January 2020

1. Chosen by Kiersten White

Nina is back and ready to save the world (again). After the events of Slayer, Nina has turned the Watcher’s Castle into a utopia for hurt and lonely demons, she’s still waiting for the utopia part to kick in. Her sister is missing and even though she’s gotten her powers back, something seems wrong. Can Nina stop the darkness that is coming for the Slayer? You have to read to find out!

2. This Vicious Cure by Emily Suvada

The epic This Mortal Coil trilogy is coming to a close!  Cat is desperate to find a way to stop Cartaxus and the plague. Her hacking skills weren’t enough to stop her from losing everything the last time. So this time, Cat can’t afford to let anything, or anyone, stand in her way.

3. The Cold Is in Her Bones paperback by Peternelle van Arsdale

Medusa is one of the most fascinating characters from Greek Mythology (IMHO), so it makes sense that a book inspired by her legend would be just a good. Milla has lived on an isolated farm with just her family her entire life, but that changes when Iris moves in next door and Milla finally has a friend. So when Iris is possessed by a demon, Milla will stop at nothing to save her. However, Milla is changing too, and may soon be a demon herself.

4. Goodbye, Perfect paperback by Sara Barnard

I’m not lying when I say that Goodbye Perfect is a phenomenal book. When Eden’s best friend, straight-A student Bonnie, runs away with her music teacher things begin to unravel. Sworn to secrecy and bound by loyalty, only Eden knows Bonnie’s location, and that’s the way it has to stay. But doubt is slowly starting to creep in. If you’ve ever felt the overwhelming pressure to be perfect then this book is definitely worth the read.

5. Slayer paperback by Kiersten White

If you haven’t already read Slayer, there’s no time better than today to start! Grab the paperback (and pick up Chosen while you’re at it) and begin reading this epic story set in the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Don’t forget to check out these amazing books that are coming out in 2020!
