This November has arguably been one of the best months of the year (in my humble opinion). The weather is crisp, you get to eat amazing thanksgiving food, and, most importantly, some really amazing books hit the shelves this month! So, if you are like me and are still recovering from your thanksgiving feast, I recommend you pick up one of these books to keep you company as you relax on the couch.
Must-Read Books That Went On-Sale in November 2019
1. The Toll by Neal Shusterman
The Toll has finally arrived and it did not disappoint! There were twists, there were turns, and there were MANY jaw dropping moments. If you have not yet read the Arc of a Scythe series, move it to the top of your TBR because it is a must-read.
2. Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw
Nora, a rumored witch, is trapped in the wicked woods that surround the town of Fir Haven during a snow storm with a mysterious boy named Oliver, who went missing weeks ago. Shea Ernshaw has once again proven that she is the queen of atmospheric witchy books with Winterwood and once you start reading, you won’t be able to stop until the book is finished. And remember, beware the dark, dark woods.
3. Songs from the Deep by Kelly Powell
This beautifully-written murder mystery will have you trying to uncover everyone’s secrets starting on page one. Moira, a local music teacher, has always been fascinated by the sirens that surround the island she lives on. When a young boy shows up dead, the islanders are quick to blame the sirens. Moira is not so sure and sets out with her childhood friend, Jude, to uncover the truth.
4. Cold Falling White by G.S. Prendergast
First things first, if you haven’t read Zero Repeat Forever, stop you’re doing and add it to your TBR. While you’re at it, add this one, too! Two teens fight for their lives after an alien invasion in this heart-stopping sequel. Xander and Raven find themselves on opposite sides of an alien war. They are left with little choice about their roles in the looming battle as they search for answers in the cold Canadian winter.
5. Dead Moon Rising by Caitlin Sangster
The final book in the Last Star Burning trilogy is here. Sev must decode her mother’s last words to find the cure to Sleeping Sickness before Dr. Yang can use it to blackmail the world into submitting to his rule.
6. Becoming RBG by Debbie Levy
I think at this point we are all massive fans of the Notorious RBG. But have you ever wondered what she was like when she was a child or teenager? One thing is for sure, she was inspiring even then! Don’t believe me? Pick up a copy of this beautifully-illustrated graphic novel to learn more about her journey to justice.
