It’s time for another installment of our Best Thing/Worst Thing video series, where authors weigh in on the pleasures and pitfalls of milestones we all experience, from growing up to falling in love and everything in between.

Charlie, the main character of Morgan Matson’s novel, Save the Date, which is now out in paperback, is looking forward to her older sister’s wedding because all her siblings will be returning to their childhood home. The only problem? The weekend is shaping up to be an absolute disaster. The justice of the peace is missing. The band will only play covers. The guests are all crazy. And the wedding planner’s nephew is unexpectedly, distractingly…cute.

Like all things, weddings have their good parts…and their bad parts. Watch the video below to discover what Morgan Matson thinks are the best and worst things about weddings!
