4 Must-Read Books That Went On Sale in April 2019
1. Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu
Take it from me, this is a definite must-read, especially if you’re a fan of Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunters books! This book debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestsellers list, that’s how much it’s worth reading! The story follows High Warlock Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood as they tour the world after the Mortal War.
All Magnus and Alec want is a nice vacation together, but their romantic getaway has officially been put on hold as they try to put a stop to a cult before it can cause too much damage. The plus side: nothing bonds couples like demon hunting together. Which is good, because Magnus and Alec will have to learn to trust each other more than ever.
2. Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett
Jenn Bennett has done it again! I cannot recommend this book enough! If you love an absolutely adorable love story, then you definitly should read this. After an awkward first encounter, Birdie and Daniel are forced to work together in a Seattle hotel where a famous author leads a mysterious and secluded life. Birdie, a self-proclaimed mystery-book aficionado, cannot let the puzzle of this author’s real identity go unsolved, even if that means coming out of her shell and working alongside Daniel—an elusive riddle all on his own.
3. Earth to Charlie by Justin Olson
Have you ever felt like you didn’t belong?
That’s exactly how Charlie Dickens, a high school outcast, feels. He spends his life hoping to be abducted by aliens in this funny, quirky novel about finding your footing in a world that sometimes feels like Mars.
4. Love From A to Z by S.K. Ali
From William C. Morris Award Finalist S.K. Ali comes an unforgettable romance that is part The Sun Is Also a Starmixed with Anna and the French Kiss, following two Muslim teens who meet during a spring break trip. To quote Becky Albertalli, you’ll be having “butterflies” by the time you finish.
