You’ll Love These Books!

1. Slayer by Kiersten White

From New York Times bestselling author Kiersten White comes a brand-new series set in the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer that introduces a new Slayer as she grapples with the responsibility of managing her incredible powers that she’s just beginning to understand.

2. Light as a Feather by Zoe Aarsen

Riverdale meets Final Destination in this fast-paced and deliciously creepy novel about an innocent game that turns deadly at a high school sleepover. Violet, the mysterious new girl in town, suggests the girls play a game during which Violet makes up elaborate, creepily specific stories about the violent ways the friends will die. Though it unsettles McKenna, it all seems harmless at the time. Until a week later, when Olivia dies…exactly as Violet predicted. This creepy thriller is also a Hulu original series, so once you’ve read the book, you can binge the series!

3. This Lie Will Kill You by Chelsea Pitcher

Tell the truth. Or face the consequences. This page-turning thriller is Clue meets Riverdale. Five teens realize they’ve been lured together by a person bent on revenge, a person who will stop at nothing to uncover what actually happened on that deadly night, one year ago. Everyone is hiding something, and the truth must come out!

4. Strange Truth by Maggie Thrash

StrangeTruth

There are few things I like more on a fall evening than curling up to a good dark prep/boarding school drama, and these two series check the boxes. And while Riverdale isn’t technically about a boarding school, its retro vibe hits somewhere pleasingly similar. The dark, thriller-y, high school setting is something I love in Riverdale (besides Jughead OBVI), so I was thrilled to find something in the same vein in Maggie Thrash’s series, starting with Strange Truth. Benny Flax and Virginia Leeds might be the only ones who know why Brittany Montague hurled herself off a bridge, but the truth is more complicated and depraved than even they know.

ENJOY!
