You probably already know this, but the live action remake of Disney’s Beauty & the Beast on Friday

Everyone is losing their minds about it, especially because Emma Watson is playing Belle. Which is great because she IS Belle. I mean, look at her:

But I’m about to get really real. Everyone’s looking at this movie with hearts in their eyes…but I have some complaints. I know it’s almost sacrilege to say anything negative about a movie with Emma Watson in it(I love you Emma!), but I have to be honest with myself and with you all. That’s why I’ve compiled a list of complaints for the Beauty & the Beast movie.

1. What is this dress? It’s HIDEOUS. Belle’s dress is arguably the most recognizable dress out of all the disney princess dresses! Little girls dream about being belle in the scene where she dances with the Beast while Mrs. Pott’s sings Tale as Old as Time. But this?! This looks like a lame prom dress. I really appreciate that Emma Watson refused to wear a corset because Belle is a feminist who would never agree to such a thing, but that didn’t mean they had to give her an ugly dress.

2. All of the effects look like they came from an episode of Once Upon a Time… I mean I know CGI is an art and I have a ton of respect for people who do those things. But this is DISNEY. I expected these effects to be in line with what they did for The Jungle Book. Now that CGI was impressive.

3. Emma Watson’s voice is sub-par at best. Again, sorry Emma, but it’s true.

4. Gaston is supposed to be HUGE. His song says he’s “roughly the size of a barge,” so he should at LEAST be the size of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. But that is not the case for Luke Evans. Don’t get me wrong, he is extremely good looking, but he’s not exactly the manliest man in Hollywood. In fact, I’d pretty much call him a pretty boy.

Did I miss a grievance you have with the movie? Let me know in the comments!

*Disclaimer: I’m totally still going to see this movie on opening day so…
