Stay with Me is a new adult novel that follows the story of fresh-out-of-college-Didi who begins interning as a therapist-in-training at a military hospital under her father’s supervision. Caught between a wounded soldier and a movie star, Didi must learn that love isn’t always sugar cookies and caramels. It’s an utterly gooey romance that’s perfect for Pinterest-worthy winter reading.

Although Stay with Me takes place in sunny California, it’s winter time and this book gives us all the cozy vibes that only exist where there’s a chance to use our earmuffs. Travel with us and visit some of our favorite romantic locations that go best with snuggles and a cup of hot chocolate!

Steamboat Springs, CO

Steamboat Springs has the charm of Stars Hollow with a western flair. There’s skiing, cozy cabins, and one of my all-time favorite bookstores, Off the Beaten Path. As you and your love take a wintery stroll down Lincoln Ave, pop into the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for some savory fudge. Pro tip: Heavenly Daze ski run is not so heavenly!

New York, NY

New York City is home to some the best of rom-coms like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, You’ve Got Mail, Serendipity, and my personal favorite How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, but frost aside, this city goes all out. Couples can longingly stare at each other on the Bow Bridge, hold hands skating at Rockefeller, or wait at the top of the Empire State Building.

Paris, France

(I’m told it rarely snows in Paris, but we’ll just let our imaginations run wild on this one.)

Full disclosure: I’ve never been to Paris physically, but I’ve traveled there the only way I can. 13 Little Blue Envelopes led me on a fantastic journey of discovery, Anna and the French Kiss gave me dreamy Étienne, and Dancing in My Nuddy Pants taught me to be careful walking up the stairs if I ever make it to La tour Eiffel. Most importantly, sometimes you only need Just One Day. *wink wink*

Jackson Hole, WY

There’s nothing like snowflakes tickling your face as you share a sleigh ride with the one you love! In Jackson Hole, you’ll find fantastic wildlife as you and your partner experience a Winter Safari—Instagram filters not included. For après-ski, cozy up at the Alpenhof Bar & Bistro for fondue for two.

Chicago, IL

Chicago is home to many things, one being the 2016 World Series Champions, the Cubs. It’s also home to ZooLights! Frolic off to the Lincoln Park Zoo with your sweet monkeybear and share a kiss on the carousel. A trip sure to delight your nose is a visit to the Chicago Botanic Garden where model trains run throughout the garden, creating the Wonderland Express. At night, make sure to catch a glimpse of the iconic Buckingham Fountain.
