A lyrical novel about family and friendship from critically acclaimed author Benjamin Alire Sáenz.

Aristotle is an angry teen with a brother in prison. Dante is a know-it-all who has an unusual way of looking at the world. When the two meet at the swimming pool, they seem to have nothing in common. But as the loners start spending time together, they discover that they share a special friendship—the kind that changes lives and lasts a lifetime. And it is through this friendship that Ari and Dante will learn the most important truths about themselves and the kind of people they want to be.

It’s been a long while since I’ve read Aristotle and Dante. Does anyone who has read it recently think it’s appropriate for middle schoolers? Again, I can’t remember all the details?

      Hi pagebobi!
Personally I think middle school is a little young for ARISTOTLE AND DANTE, but if you have a big group of mature or advanced readers, I’d say you might be okay with 7th and 8th grade.
      Hope that helps!

Amy Beaudoin, why do you say that middle school is too young for Aristotle and Dante. I’m and 8th grader and haven’t read that book, but just from the title, it sounds interesting
