It’s our last day of Spring 2018 cover reveals (#RivetedRevealSp18)…for this week, at least!
If you’ve been checking out our cover reveals in the past, you know it can take a long time to get a cover right and that we’ve always got cover reveals popping up. Case in point: for our final reveals of the week, we’ve got one final Spring 18 title….and a bonus Fall 17 title!
Our first reveal comes from Dawn Ius, the acclaimed author of Overdrive and Anne & Henry. It’s called Lizzie, and from the title alone, you may already have guessed (and if you didn’t, seeing the cover below would certainly drive it home): it’s a contemporary re-imagining of the infamous Lizzie Borden mystery! The prospect of recounting a murder mystery in a contemporary setting like this is kind of giving us a Serial or Making a Murderer vibe and that can only be a good thing! Plus, we love a good unreliable narrator and it sounds like the shy and polite Lizzie, with her medical condition that causes blackout episodes, is going to deliver!
Our second reveal is The Chaos of Standing Still, a new contemporary YA romance from Jessica Brody, the author of Boys of Summer. Set in the Denver airport over the course of one night, The Chaos of Standing Still is the story of Ryn who, with the help of an assortment of strangers and one charismatic young man, struggles to come to grips with the one year anniversary of her best friend’s death. We’re SO intrigued at the idea of setting a contemporary romance in the Denver airport and weaving in its Illuminati conspiracy theories and mysteries, we can’t wait to read this one! And from some of the blurbs from bestselling authors its already received, we have a feeling we won’t be let down—just take a look at the glowing quote from the fabulous Morgan Matson gracing the cover!
And there you have it, all of our Spring 18 reveals! By now, you probably know the drill: scroll on down to scope out the covers for today’s reveals, find out a little more about them, and add them on GoodReads if you’re so inclined! And if you’re excited by today’s reveals, or any of this week’s reveals, let us know with a comment! Here are the reveals from earlier this week:

Lizzie by Dawn Ius
About the Book:
Seventeen-year-old Lizzie Borden has never been kissed. Polite but painfully shy, Lizzie prefers to stay in the kitchen, where she can dream of becoming a chef and escape her reality. With tyrannical parents who force her to work at the family’s B&B and her blackout episodes—a medical condition that has plagued her since her first menstrual cycle—Lizzie longs for a life of freedom, the time and space to just figure out who she is and what she wants.
Enter the effervescent, unpredictable Bridget Sullivan. Bridget has joined the B&B’s staff as the new maid, and Lizzie is instantly drawn to her artistic style and free spirit—even her Star Wars obsession is kind of cute. The two of them forge bonds that quickly turn into something that’s maybe more than friendship.
But when her parents try to restrain Lizzie from living the life she wants, it sparks something in her that she can’t quite figure out. Her blackout episodes start getting worse, her instincts less and less reliable. Lizzie is angry, certainly, but she also feels like she’s going mad…
Lizzie will be available April 10, 2018!

The Chaos of Standing Still by Jessica Brody:
About the Book:
Ryn has one unread text message on her phone. And it’s been there for almost a year.
She hasn’t tried to read it. She can’t. She won’t. Because that one message is the last thing her best friend ever said to her before she died.
But as Ryn finds herself trapped in the Denver International Airport on New Year’s Eve thanks to a never-ending blizzard on the one-year anniversary of her best friend’s death, fate literally runs into her.
And his name is Xander.
When the two accidentally swap phones, Ryn and Xander are thrust into the chaos of an unforgettable all-night adventure, filled with charming and mysterious strangers, a secret New Year’s Eve bash, and a possible Illuminati conspiracy hidden within the Denver airport. But as the bizarre night continues, all Ryn can think about is that one unread text message. It follows her wherever she goes, because Ryn can’t get her brilliantly wild and free-spirited best friend out of her head.
Ryn can’t move on.
But tonight, for the first time ever, she’s trying. And maybe that’s a start.
As moving as it is funny, The Chaos of Standing Still is a heartwarming story about the earth-shattering challenges life throws at us—and the unexpected strangers who help us along the way.
