Happy Monday!

We’ve got SO MANY great reads for your reading pleasure this week—but isn’t that always the case?!

There’s no better place to start than with an extended excerpt of Jenny Han’s Always and Forever, Lara Jean! It’s been nearly one year since Jenny surprised us all with her announcement that Lara Jean’s story would continue and we CAN’T WAIT to see how this finale plays out!

Then for something a little new and different on Riveted—are any of you Riveted readers lovers of non-fiction? The Simon Pulse imprint has a new series brewing called Simon True and it launches this week with two books, One Cut and Deep Water. The series tagline sums them up rather well: “Real stories. Real teens. Real crimes.” To sample this series, we’re bringing you an extended excerpt of One Cut, the true story of a backyard brawl turned media circus that turned a small, quiet town upside down back in 1995.

Also this week, Jenna Evans Welch’s darling debut novel Love and Gelato comes out in paperback so we’re bringing back our extended excerpt! The companion novel, Love and Luck, won’t be out until May 2018 but in the meantime, we’re more than happy to revisit the sights, sounds, and romance of Italy in Love and Gelato.

Finally, we love taking a look back at YA books approaching notable anniversaries, books you may have missed when they originally came out but that are still just as good now! We’ve got TWO such books for you this week: celebrating their five year anniversaries, enjoy full reads of Rebecca Serle’s When You Were Mine and Anna Davies’ Wrecked. One’s a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet, the other a retelling of The Little Mermaid!

And of course, don’t forget last week’s reads! First, there’s the extended excerpt of Tim Federle’s The Great American Whatever (the one Kirkus called “a Holden Caulfield for a new generation.”). Then, in honor of YALLWEST (Which was just this past weekend), we featured reads from some of our YALLWEST-attending authors including Neal Shusterman’s Unwind, Lisa McMann’s Wake, and Cassandra Clare’s Clockwork Angel, and extended excerpts of Simon Curtis’s Boy Robot and Lilliam Rivera’s The Education of Margot Sanchez. And Finally, we also featured two full reads for Princess Week last week: Margaret Peterson Haddix’s Just Ella and Carolyn Meyer’s Anastasia and Her Sisters.
