The You I’ve Never Knownby Ellen Hopkins

How do you live your life if your past is based on a lie? A new novel in both verse and prose from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Ellen Hopkins.

Tricksby Ellen Hopkins

Five teenagers from different parts of the country. Three girls. Two guys. Four straight. One gay. Some rich. Some poor. Some from great families. Some with no one at all. All living their lives as best they can, but all searching . . . for freedom, safety, community, family, love. What they don’t expect, though, is all that can happen when those powerful little words, “I love you,” are said for all the wrong reasons. These are five moving stories that remain separate at first, then weave together to tell a larger, more powerful story–a story about making choices, taking leaps of faith, falling down, and growing up. And figuring out what sex and love are all about.

Traffickby Ellen Hopkins

Five teens victimized by sex trafficking try to find their way to a new life in this riveting companion to the New York Times bestselling Tricks from Ellen Hopkins, author of Crank.

Impulseby Ellen Hopkins

Three lives, three different paths to the same destination: Aspen Springs, a psychiatric hospital for those who have attempted the ultimate act — suicide.

Perfectby Ellen Hopkins

What would you give up to be perfect? Four teens find out in the New York Times bestselling companion to Impulse.

Tiltby Ellen Hopkins

Love—good and bad—forces three teens’ worlds to tilt in a riveting standalone novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Ellen Hopkins.

Burnedby Ellen Hopkins

It all started with a dream. Just a typical fantasy, but for a girl raised in a religious—and abusive—family, a simple dream could be the first step toward eternal damnation. Now Pattyn Von Stratten has questions. Questions about God, and sex, and mostly love. Will she ever find it? Pattyn experiences the first stirrings of passion, but when her father catches her in a compromising position, events spiral out of control.

Smokeby Ellen Hopkins

Pattyn’s father is dead. Now she’s on the run in this riveting companion to New York Times bestseller Burned, which Kirkus Reviews calls “a strong, painful, and tender piece about wresting hope from the depths of despair.”

Identicalby Ellen Hopkins

Kaeleigh and Raeanne are identical down to the dimple. As daughters of a district-court judge father and a politician mother, they are an all-American family — on the surface. Behind the facade each sister has her own dark secret, and that’s where their differences begin.

Rumbleby Ellen Hopkins

Matthew Turner knows it doesn’t get better. His younger brother Luke was bullied mercilessly after one of Matt’s friends outed Luke to the whole school, and when Luke called Matt—on the brink of suicide—Matt was too wrapped up in his new girlfriend to answer the phone. Now Luke is gone, and Matt’s family is falling apart.

Crankby Ellen Hopkins

Kristina Georgia Snow is the perfect daughter: gifted high school junior, quiet, never any trouble. But on a trip to visit her absentee father, Kristina disappears and Bree takes her place. Bree is the exact opposite of Kristina — she’s fearless.

Glassby Ellen Hopkins

Crank. Glass. Ice. Crystal. Whatever you call it, it’s all the same: a monster. And once it’s got hold of you, this monster will never let you go.

Falloutby Ellen Hopkins

Hunter, Autumn, and Summer—three of Kristina Snow’s five children—live in different homes, with different guardians and different last names. They share only a predisposition for addiction and a host of troubled feelings toward the mother who barely knows them, a mother who has been riding with the monster, crank, for twenty years.

Ellen Hopkins is one of few authors to tackle tough topics and not shy away from the brutality of them. She portrays things more realistically than other authors who write about similar things. I have read Burned, and from the first page I loved it! Fantastic style and she has a real gift with words. I’d love to read more :)

  56. Sfunk03 says:

  60. jenniferedit says:

I’m sure if I were a traditional YA reader now (as opposed to in my 50s!), I would have read this author by now. However, I like keep my hand in this genre and would love to read all of these titles.

  61. hayhaymass says:

I love ellen hopkins because her booms speak to me in a way that no other boom has because what happens is real life. She also makes you believe you are the main character.

  62. Tash says:

I’ve always wanted to own all of Ellen Hopkins books ever since I was young and my friend and I would go to Barnes and Noble early in the morning on the weekends and discovered the book Crank when it was Ellen’s first and only book. I’ve always felt her books on a more personal level because like Ellen has loved ones who have had troubles with addiction (based on the book Crank) I also have loved ones who struggle and even me myself in my teen years up until 20 when I got pregnant with my son and swore my son would have a mother better than that (I say he saved my life in many ways all the time). Even though I read a couple of her books, I don’t actually own any and seeing this reminded me that owning all of her books is still a dream I have and always will until I do own them. Her books are extremely real and I feel everyone should have access to be able to read her books, especially ones like the Crank trilogy if anyone has ever known or had themselves an experience with addiction as Ellen sheads so much honesty into the books (even though I haven’t got the chance to read the 3rd one yet) without making you feel like you’re being judged. Winning is a long shot, but whoever does win I hope they know how important of books they truly have.

  63. soday0612 says:

I love Ellen because her books are so very relatable! I’ve been reading her books since I started my teens. She is such a wonderful writer and I love the unique way she presents her stories. It’s more than just the words on the page, but how they are visually presented to you.

  64. MaGiiirlMorgie says:

CAN WE JUST TAKE A MOMENT TO SEE THIS WAS POSTED ON MY BIRTHDAY AND NOTHING COMES OUT ON MY BIRTHDAY!

Besides that Ellen Hopkins’s books are what started my love for YA. I honestly think I would have stopped reading after 9th grade if it wasn’t for her and YA books. I’ve read almost every book by her. I’m so glad I found this site! Thank you Ellen Hopkins for making me see that people actually write relatable things. There’s so much more than just cliques, love stories, or sickness when reading books.

  65. booksatrillion says:

I have yet to read any Ellen Hopkins books, but my sister says that they’re fantastic! I really hope I win so I don’t have to wait on a billion year long library waiting list

  66. I haven’t caught up to reading her last few books, but I absolutely loved the first couple of collections. I’m not much of a reader of books written in verse, but Hopkins is def the master of that format. Great giveaway, Riveted!

  67. readstolive says:

I haven’t read anything by Ellen Hopkins yet but I’ve heard lots of wonderful things. One of my friends is super into her writing!

  68. Ella says:

I love her style of writing; it’s so interesting. I enjoy the way she talks about real problems in a realistic way and doesn’t sugar coat it. I’ve not read any of her books, but I am reading two of hers at the moment: Burned and Tricks.

  69. BookDragonLady90 says:

I think Ellen Hopkin’s book are so riveting and unique. A lot of people don’t like books written in poem form but I absolutely love it. :)
