    I usually read fantasy books, so the friendship isn’t usually the main plot of the book. However, one trilogy I read, Ruby Red by Kierstin Gier, has a strong friendship that doesn’t fade out over the books.

    The first real book I read that was centered around friendship was Vampire Academy and still to this day it is still my favorite!!!

  19. Percy Jackson’s series are my favorite One to read on summer, because Rick writes in an amazing way that its perfect to enjoy the summer :)

  20. My all time favorite read with best friends at the center is the Harry Potter series, but more recently I’ve come to love the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series and Truthwitch.

    I tend to read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi so friendships often take a secondary role. I do love the friendships in Harry Potter. They are a major strength of the books.

  37. My favorite book with best friends has always been Someone Like You; The friendship that Halley and Scarlett share is a friendship I will always strive for.

    I can never come up with a favorite, so I will pick a recent favorite. I finished Zac and Mia the other day, and the friendship that developed between them as each struggled with their own cancer battle was quite beautiful

    I recently read The Impossible Knife of Memory by Laurie Halse Anderson and I thought all of the friendships and other relationships were interesting and well thought out by the author.

    Because She Is My Friend by Harriet Sirof is absolutely my favorite book about friendship. Usually, people paint friendship as this magical genuine connection between people. When in reality it is can be trying and difficult. This book portrayed it perfectly to my 12 year old self.

    I would say that the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a great series devoted to friendship. I also love the friendship between Mia and Lily in the Princess Diaries series.

    Yes, definitely the Vampire Academy series, I loved seeing the strong connection between Rose and Lissa. Harry’s, Ron’s, and Hermione’s friendship and adventures made we wish I was part of the gang. I really liked how the friendships and sisterly bond grew in Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell, and the fantastic crew from the Lunar Chronicles made a great team.
